Day 8: Wednesday March 25, By Isabella Leon

 On day 8, we got to school and at exactly 8:30, we left for FM Law Park to play the golf course again, we split up into 3 different groups, just as the day before, but this time it was groups of different people. The groups were Brandon, Aidric, Declan, and Theo, the other Group was Maestra, Mr. Zhou, Chase, and Tory, and the last group was Federico, Madeline, Colin, and me. We did the groups like this because some of the first group of boys are on the golf team, and they have a tournament next Monday.

Brandons group started first and then my group went second and then maestras group went last. All of the groups finished all 9 holes allthough the first two groups finished pretty early and the last group finished like an hour after. After that we just ate lunch and waited for everyone to finish all the holes, some people also practiced chipping for a bit while some people ate lunch and after that we left around 1.

We then got back school and we watched a small video of some of the highlights of the 2025 Houston Open Tournament. We then all did some separate research on some of the more famous golfers that will be playing in the Houston Open that we are going to go watch. Everybody did their research, and then we each talked about the golfer we researched and talked about their backgrounds in golfing and why it might be fun to follow them and watch them in the tournament. We did two round of research on different golfers and just finished presenting and talking about them and that was the end of our day.

In the end today was pretty fun, we all had fun doing the golf course and finishing the 9 holes. We also had fun researching and learning about all the pro golfers that we are going to see at the Houston Open Tournament.

Our first day of the Golf M-Term began enthusiastically. The morning began with a brief journal, during which students reflected on expectations and goals for this trip. Day 2: Tuesday, March 17 - Aidric O'Heron

 The day stared off with some time for reading our book, Ben Hogans Five Lessons. We the first chapter (or lesson) which was about grip. It was a quick read and after wards Brandon gave us some demonstrations and lessons, where we all practiced with our clubs.  Below: reading time                   Below: brandon gives grip lessons After reading and learning about grip, we took a quick break where students could go outside on the quad and practice swinging a club. We then loaded up the bus with our clubs and lunches and headed over to FM Law park, a golf course that specializes in working with schools. We started by getting brief but very helpful lessons from a former Pro golfer on chipping and putting. Afterwards we practiced both of those things. Day 3, Wednesday, March 18th, by Theo Killoran

         Today we started our day out by reading our book, Ben Hogan's Five Lessons . We covered chapter 2, which went through the stance needed for proper form, especially in the arms and elbows. After that, Brandon showed us the proper way to use your arms and hands and elbows when lining up your swing. (Aidric lining up his elbows and fixing the postion of his arms in his stance) After that, we left the school around 9:35 and went to First tee F.M Law park, and started our morning there with a drill to help us with chipping with accuracy and correct power. In the drill, people split into groups of 3, where they would try to chip a ball into a square region, or a circle with the hole inside of the square region for points, and whoever had the most points in the group won.
